Alcalal\u00ed celebrar\u00e1 del 1 al 22 de febrero la 10.\u00aa edici\u00f3n de Feslal\u00ed, el festival que desde hace una d\u00e9cada pone en valor el paisaje, la agricultura y la identidad del municipio. En esta edici\u00f3n tan especial, Feslal\u00ed inicia una nueva etapa y sit\u00faa a la algarroba como eje central del programa, en coherencia con una nueva estrategia agraria basada en el territorio y en la sostenibilidad.<\/h3>\n

Since its creation, Feslal\u00ed<\/a> has been closely linked to the almond tree and its blossom, with the aim of revitalising agricultural activity, boosting local commerce and attracting inland tourism. However, the appearance of Xylella fastidiosa and the containment policies that have led to the mass removal of almond trees have profoundly transformed the municipality\u2019s agricultural landscape, making it necessary to rethink the purpose of the festival.<\/p>\n

In response to this context, over the past year the Alcalal\u00ed Town Council has been working on a strategy focused on the recovery and viability of carob commercialisation<\/strong>,<\/a> set out in a technical study developed in collaboration with local stakeholders. The carob is presented as a crop particularly well adapted to the conditions of Mediterranean dry farming, resilient to climate change and with growing economic and commercial interest.<\/p>\n

The 10th edition of Feslal\u00ed<\/strong><\/a> thus becomes a space for dissemination, participation and encounter, where the carob acts as a common thread for discussing agriculture, landscape, culture and the future. The programme includes hiking routes, field visits to learn about the carob tree, informative talks, craft workshops, cultural and gastronomic competitions, as well as the Fira d\u2019Oficis i Productes de la Terra, live music and family activities.<\/p>\n

Among the highlights<\/a><\/strong> are the competition for carob-based sweets, the quick painting competition, workshops linked to traditional trades and a range of activities designed for all audiences, which will turn Alcalal\u00ed\u2019s squares and public spaces into meeting points throughout the month of February.<\/p>\n

With this edition, Feslal\u00ed strengthens its role as a tool for economic, social and cultural revitalisation, and as a showcase for a more diversified, sustainable and territory-rooted agricultural model.
\nFrom 1 to 22 February, Alcalal\u00ed invites residents and visitors alike to take part in the 10th edition of Feslal\u00ed and to discover a municipality that continues to invest in its landscape, its agriculture and its future.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
