II PLAN FOR EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES BETWEEN WOMEN AND MEN IN ALCALAL\u00cd 2022-2027<\/h3>\n

The Town Hall of Alcalal\u00ed, as part of its duties as a public entity, has a firm commitment to eradicating gender discrimination and promoting actions to foster equal conditions between men and women.<\/p>\n

This commitment was consolidated in 2014 with the development of the I Plan for Equal Opportunities between Men and Women in the Municipality of Alcalal\u00ed, created to guarantee women’s rights, promotion, and equal opportunities, as well as to reinforce public policies through a gender perspective.<\/p>\n

To continue the process of eradicating gender-based violence and achieve full commitment to municipal equality policies that promote the reduction of inequalities between men and women in Alcalal\u00ed.<\/p>\n

This plan arises from the need to continue the strategies proposed in the first Plan from a cross-cutting perspective, considering the updated reality of the municipality through a new diagnosis. It will also be based on the evaluation of the I Equality Plan of Alcalal\u00ed conducted in 2021.<\/p>\n

The strategy to be carried out in the next four years in favor of equality in the municipality of Alcalal\u00ed requires determining an action plan based on the observation of reality and grounded in basic principles that guide the equality actions to be carried out.<\/p>\n

The commitment to equality involves accepting the following basic principles, which will form the basis for the articulation of actions and programs of the II Plan and, therefore, give it meaning.<\/p>\n

Fight against gender-based violence, citizen involvement, cross-cutting approach, diversity and intersectionality, and social justice.<\/p>\n

The development of the II Equality Plan has been funded by the Alicante Provincial Council<\/a>, within the framework of the Call for the development of equality plans, annual 2022, for an amount of 2,667.08 euros.<\/p>\n

Throughout history, women and men have maintained unequal and hierarchical relationships, in which power has been structured to keep women’s positions inferior. The patriarchal system of social organization remains in place in crucial areas such as domestic chores, childcare and elderly care, wage differences, etc.<\/p>\n

Despite the progress made, it is the duty of public authorities to correct the inequalities that women still suffer today.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

With this objective, the Town Hall of Alcalal\u00ed approved the I Plan for Equal Opportunities between Men and Women by plenary agreement on February 13, 2014.<\/strong> You can consult the minutes, specifically point <\/span>5.- Approval of the Plan for Equal Opportunities between Men and Women of Alcalal\u00ed.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

This plan aims to contribute to the development and deepening of democracy by realizing the full rights of the citizens of Alcalal\u00ed.<\/p>\n

This plan is an open and participatory document, a working plan, a tool that binds the town hall and through which a commitment is made to the citizens and development with equality. Assuming, recognizing, and implementing the principles outlined in the plan is fundamentally important, as they enable comprehensive, coherent, participatory, democratic, and equal work.<\/p>\n

2.- EVALUATION OF THE FIRST PLAN FOR EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES BETWEEN MEN AND WOMEN IN ALCALAL\u00cd<\/h3>\n

Two years after the approval of the Plan, an intermediate evaluation is considered necessary to measure the degree of implementation from both a quantitative and qualitative perspective.<\/p>\n

Through the evaluation, carried out during the months of June, July, and September 2016, we have gained a greater understanding of the differences between men and women in certain areas, obtaining the necessary data to analyze and transform inequalities.<\/p>\n

Diputaci\u00f3n d’Alacant<\/a>, through the Equality Area, has subsidized the evaluation costs with an amount of \u20ac812.50.<\/span><\/p>\n

3.- FINAL EVALUATION OF THE FIRST PLAN FOR EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES BETWEEN MEN AND WOMEN IN ALCALAL\u00cd<\/h3>\n

In the B.O.P of Alicante n\u00ba 170 dated 07\/09\/2021<\/strong>, the grant for the final evaluation of the I Plan for Equality between Women and Men of Alcalal\u00ed (2018-2021) was published, with a total amount of \u20ac1,724.61.<\/p>\n

The specific objectives of this report are:<\/p>\n
