Alcalalí is an ideal place for practicing outdoor sports due to its climate and orography.
Hiking
You can explore the municipal area of Alcalalí by taking the Alcalalí – Coll de Rates hiking route.
This route is an excellent option to get close to the cultural and landscape heritage of the municipality and the valley.
It is an approved route by FEMEC and properly marked, circular in type with a distance of 10,570 meters and an elevation gain of 395 meters.
It is estimated that it can be completed in approximately 3 hours and 40 minutes, and the difficulty level is medium to low.

Another proposed route that allows you to delve into our history and heritage is the “Stone and Water” route. This is a linear route that runs along the Gorgos River, declared a place of community interest (LIC), and links the towns of the Pop Valley, from Benissa to Benigembla. This route highlights the architectural and hydraulic heritage of our towns and offers visitors unique landscapes.
In Alcalalí, you can start this route at the Mirador del Terrer, heading either towards Parcent or in the direction of Jalón. The 19.5 km itinerary can be completed in an estimated time of 5 hours and 50 minutes and has a very low difficulty level.

Cycling
Cycling, both mountain and road, is a very popular activity.
It is common to find groups of cyclists on the road leading up to Alcalalí.
The municipality has three well-marked MTB routes of varying intensity.
The different proposed itineraries are suitable for both beginners and experts, and their routes allow you to discover the landscape treasures of our territory.
At the entrance to the municipality, there is an information panel about the routes, and it is from this point that the three routes, all circular in nature, begin.

MUNICIPAL SPORTS CENTER
In the municipal sports center of Alcalalí, you can find a wide range of sports alternatives to stay in shape.
This facility features a semi-Olympic pool and another pool for small children, open during the summer season, usually from May 15 to September 15. It also has a fronton court and a multi-sports court that allows outdoor sports practice throughout the year. For the elderly, a biosaludable park has been set up with passive gym equipment, and a multi-play park for the little ones.
The sports center also houses a gym with brand new facilities and equipment, where you can practice sports both in guided classes and in the machine room.
