FESTIVITIES PROGRAM 2026
Once again, these long-awaited dates for the town of Alcalalí are approaching. They are days to meet again, share and celebrate everything that unites us as a community. From the town hall we would like to thank the Sant Joanet Festival Committee for all the effort and enthusiasm used during these months of work.
FROM 14 TO 22 JUNE
8.00 p.m. Novena in honor of the Crist de la Salut.
TUESDAY 23 JUNE. DAY OF THE “ENTRAETA” OF SANT JOANET DE MOSQUERA
12.00 p.m. General ringing of the bells of Sant Vit (1806), Sants Cosme i Damià (1806) and Sant Jaume (2006) to announce the start of the festivities. The bell of Sant Joanet (ca. 1450) will look at them, smiling.
9.00 p.m. Parade by the Unió Musical La Primitiva de Castell de Castells.
9.30 p.m. Collection at the Civic Center of the Festival Commission, the illustrious City Council of Alcalalí and the children who participate in the offering to Sant Joanet.
10.00 p.m. Entrance and reception of Sant Joanet de Mosquera through Ravalet street. Fireworks will be set off at the expense of the Hermanos Borredà pyrotechnics. Afterwards, the children will make an offering of flowers to the saint.
12.00 a.m. Performance of the CUCUMPÁ orchestra in the main square. And, at the end, session with the local DJ Lucas.
WEDNESDAY 24 JUNE. DAY IN HONOUR OF OUR PATRON SAINT, SANT JOANET DE MOSQUERA
11.00 a.m. Parade and collection of the Festival Commission and the illustrious City Council of Alcalalí by the Unió Musical La Primitiva de Castell de Castells.
12.00 p.m. Mass in honour of our patron saint Sant Joanet de Mosquera, sung by Sílvia Peña (soprano) and Vicent Sendra (piano). At the end, the illustrious City Council of Alcalalí will invite the whole neighborhood to an aperitif.
2.00 p.m. Balloon popping display in the main square.
7.00 p.m. Family show MENUDA FESTA in Porxe street. Subsidized by the Diputación de Alicante in the 2026 music and theater dissemination campaign.
9.00 p.m. Parade and collection of the Festival Commission and the illustrious City Council of Alcalalí by the Unió Musical La Primitiva de Castell de Castells.
10.00 p.m. Solemn procession in honour of Sant Joanet de Mosquera. Upon reaching the square, fireworks will be set off.
12.00 a.m. Performance of the MI TIERRA tribute in the main square.
THURSDAY 25 JUNE. DAY IN HONOUR OF THE SANTÍSSIM CRIST DE LA SALUT
11.00 a.m. Parade and collection of the Festival Commission and the illustrious City Council of Alcalalí by the Unió Musical La Primitiva de Castell de Castells.
12.00 p.m. Blessing of the Loaves and delivery of the medals to the Festival Commission. Afterwards, the Eucharist will be celebrated in honor of the Crist de la Salut, sung by the Polyphonic of Polop Antonio Berenguer Fuster. Then, the “pambenet” will be distributed throughout the town. At the end, the Festival Commission will offer an aperitif to the entire neighborhood.
9.00 p.m. Parade and collection of the Festival Commission and the illustrious City Council of Alcalalí by the Unió Musical La Primitiva de Castell de Castells.
10.00 p.m. Solemn procession in honour of the Santíssim Crist de la Salut. Upon reaching the square, fireworks will be set off.
12.30 a.m. Performance of the orchestra LA TRIBU in the main square.
FRIDAY 26 JUNE
10.00 a.m. – 2.00 p.m. Painting of a collaborative mural with the artist Helga Ambak, in the Parc del Pou. There will be breakfast for the children who participate.
12.00 p.m. Mass in suffrage for all the deceased of the town.
7.00 p.m. Performance by the dance group Ocell d’Ondara in the Town Hall Square, accompanied by dolçaina and tabalet. Lime slushies will be offered to attendees.
9.30 p.m. Barbecue in the main square: local sausages accompanied by savory carob sauces.
12.30 a.m. Performance of the TITANIC orchestra in Vall de Pop avenue.
SATURDAY 27 JUNE
11.00 a.m. Great Gymkhana for all audiences. Start at the olive tree in the main square.
13.00 h. Open bar with beer and “cassalla” enlivened by the Xaranga de la Unió Musical La Primitiva de Castell de Castells in the main square.
2.00 p.m. Giant Paella in the main square.
7.00 p.m. Costume parade accompanied by the Charanga of the Unió Musical La Primitiva de Castell de Castells.
12.30 a.m. Verbena by the LÍMITE orchestra on Vall de Pop Avenue.
SUNDAY 28 JUNE
10.30-13.30 a.m. AQUA-JOCS water park for all audiences in Porxe street.
1.30 p.m. Balloon popping display in Porxe street.
8.00 p.m. Great “cocà” in the main square enlivened by PACIFIC BLUE.
SUNDAY 5 JULY: RETURN OF SANT JOANET DE MOSQUERA TO THE HERMITAGE
7.30 p.m. Transfer from Sant Joanet de Mosquera to the Hermitage accompanied by dolçaina and tabalet. Then there will be a snack for all attendees.
